Yeasayer’s track ‘O.N.E’ is an electronic gem really which has slipped under most people’s radar. The song was from the band’s second album and was released March 23rd 2010 and only reached #190 in the UK chart. The song which also featured on one of the popular Fifa games has a great Disco up beat feel to it. Be sure to check out their Facebook for more info…

Indie Hipster Miles Kane makes a return in 2013 with the title track for his forthcoming album ‘Don’t Forget Who You Are’ which will be the 2nd Single from his latest album of the same name. The first single from the “Don’t Forget Who You Are’ album ‘Give up’ charted at number 62 and was released in February. Miles Kane has unveiled the video which is directed by Dan Sully and it features Kane strolling around the streets of Liverpool and performing on a rooftop with his band.
Miles Kane recently described ‘Don’t Forget Who You Are’ as “big, positive and upbeat” and compared the album’s sound to that of his old single ‘Inhaler’. He added: “That was sort of the blueprint, to make this real upbeat, heavy, catchy album. That’s what I’ve done. I can’t wait for it to get out there.” The album is set for release on the 3rd June 2013 and it was produced by Ian Broudie of The Lightening Sceeds, who has recently worked with The Zutons and Echo and the Bunnymen.
Great summery sound from Bleached with some raw punk rock and roll thrown in for good measure.
On the heels of three well-received singles comes Ride Your Heart, the bombastic debut album by LA band Bleached. Sisters Jennifer and Jessie Clavin match their ability to blend a mix of freewheeling ’77 punk with vintage sunny Southern California melodic rock and roll; creating blindingly bright hooks and dark heartfelt lyrics about love, loss, and the crazy fun moments in between. That’s the goal: the sugary and sour, repurposed by two aggressively harmonic musicians and songwriters. Their first single “Next Stop” epitomizes this movement – fun, raw, adventurous and free. Tossing you out onto the dance floor, hair mussed from make-outs, cigarette still dangling from your fingertips.
Another Free MP3 today and this time it is a Re-Work of the Blondie classic ‘Heart of Glass’. The Re-work comes from Oliver & Thee Mike B and was released on their soundcloud last week when they reached 10,000 Followers! It uses the elements of the original track and as soon as that Bass Riff drops you know you are in for a real treat. There is a slow build throughout the song, but they have really focused on using that bass riff to be the main focal point of the Re-work! Be sure to snap up the Free Download whilst you can.
